Joseph Francis Phillps, XXX

Hello
Yes, you guessed it, Joey “F’n” P is 30 “F’n” years old.  That’s 30 years of Fletch quotes, 30 years of smug smirks, and 30 years of single handedly keeping the ice cream industry in the black.  Good work, Joey P.  So while Joey P’s birthday fell on Labor Day this year (which is ironic, because Joey P doesn’t spend any day doing labor), and many of you don’t spend your holidays on the computer like I do, if you happen to see this announcement on September 5th, go ahead and send Joey P an e-mail wishing him a happy, belated 30th birthday.  So in honor of Joey P’s birthday, I have included a slideshow of some of Joey P’s greatest hits.  Some people would suggest it is a crime to get a chance to laugh at all of these classic Joey P pictures in one place.  Well, I’m not even sure that’s a crime anymore. There’ve been a lot of changes in the law.

Happy Birthday, Meg Simone

Hotties
Meg Simone turns 28 this Sunday, and to celebrate, I am going to write a post about it, and direct you to a link of a slideshow highlighting some of Meg’s more recent adventures.  Meg is seen here with Sara at Mackey’s in South Arlington during the 2005 XBYs.  Meg is one of the best bowlers (female or otherwise) in the XBL and is a vital cog to Bowl Movements (and previously to Strike Force 4).  She has been told throughout her life “Megan Laura, you should have been an actress,” but has taken a decidely different career path.  Meg also thinks fondly upon her time at JMU and refers to her time in Tri Delt as her “Glory Years.”

Happy Birthday Meg, and here’s to hoping the rest of your years will be glory filled as well.

Happy Birthday, Colin and Matt…Join the Club.

One of My Favorites of All TimeWell I wish I had the picture of Matt and Colin taking shots for their twenty-fourth birthday party at an un-airconditioned Glen Carlyn (Colin donning his undershirt with the letters ‘DC’ artfully written with a Sharpie across its front while wiping the sweat from his brow), but this one will have to do. Bianca is getting ready to get married, but she and Neil really don’t have much to do with this photograph…I just liked the faces. Maybe five years from now I will get to scanning some of those older photographs.

At any rate, Colin and Matt turn 30 today. Gentlemen, welcome to the club. By the looks of things, neither one of you will be losing your hair anytime soon; but you’re both married, and I got an e-mail from Colin at 5:30 this morning…going to work, NOT still up from a night of drinking, so I think that qualifies you as old.

I look forward to seeing you both very soon to celebrate this momentous occasion.

100-0027_IMGOh, and I also wanted to wish Greg and Melissa congratulations on their five year wedding anniversary. Seventy-five percent of all broken marriages end within the first five years* so I think you guys are in the clear! In all seriousness, again, congratulations, and I hope you have another great five years (or more) of marriage.

Happy Birthday, Maureen

Happy Birthday to Maureen O., who on this day turns a healthy and happy 28 years of age.The Unicorns
Maureen is seen here with Partner Eric as they posed for a team picture before the 2002 Beerpong Tournament. Together with Partner Eric, Maureen formed The Unicorns. Maureen’s favorite color is pink, and she was involved in a tragic swingset accident at the age of 2. She prefers her brother’s mixture of iced tea over her own, and her favorite extracurricular activity on the upper east side is jump roping club.

A slideshow of photos featuring Maureen can be found here.
