How to Use the Catalogue

TheRegalBeagle.com Catalogue is now entirely driven by flickr. If you haven’t signed up for an account, do so now. Flickr is almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the world, and is best explained here or over a few drinks one evening.
Flickr was purchased by Yahoo! in 2005, and now you can log into flickr with your Yahoo! ID if you have not created an account with flickr previously.

Once you have created an account, please visit my profile page, mouse over my head, click the triangle that appears to the right of my icon, and then click “Add lancehayden as a contact?” A small dialogue box will appear where you can choose to mark me as “Friend” or “Family.” I would suggest marking me as “Friend.” When I notice that you have made me a “Friend,” I will return the favor, and make you a “Friend” of mine. At this point, when you log onto flickr, you will see my most recent photographs on your home page, if you start uploading pictures to flickr yourself, I will be able to see your most recent photographs, and most importantly, you will be able to browse TheRegalBeagle.com Catalogue without impedance much as you did previously.

I would also suggest stopping by my contact list. You may see a few people on my list that you may recognize, and by adding them to your contact list and marking them as your friend (and those people doing the same for you), you will get a lot more out of flickr. Travis, Creaby, Sara, Dan, Odie, Sideler and the Braymers have all posted quite a few pictures.

Once you have an account, and are signed on to flickr, you can return to this page, and view each set as a slideshow. I will keep the five most recent or relevant sets available on the Catalogue, while the remainder of my sets can be found at here.

If you can’t easily find the set for which you are looking, you can browse my photographs by tags (or by selecting the tag from the right hand column on the Catalogue page) or by date.

I find flickr easy to use, but I know there has been a learning curve for some of you. While this set up probably isn’t as easy to use as the previous Catalogue, it allows me to update the Catalogue more frequently and more quickly, password protects our photographs from the casual online stalker, and allows you to order prints, comment on pictures, and search for photographs by name, subject matter or date. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, and I will help set you up.
